Hey guys!
You know how I’ve recently been hung-up the power of the word, “Velocity”, and how by getting it’s meaning can serve as background energy for us to COMPLETE the things we START?
Well, Dom Menfra, from out night class, is a thinking persons person, and check out what he gets from this VELOCITY principle.
See you in class… keep thinking…. keep doing… and KEEP TRAINING!

Recently, Master Palangi started using the term “velocity” in class. He recounted a story about how an individual in his past used the word velocity and had an impact in his life.
I thought it was very interesting that Master Palangi decided to use the term “velocity” and not “speed”.
When he instructed us to find a partner or to bring out the heavy bags with *velocity*, that meant something special to me.
Why?
For those of you that remember your high school or college level science classes, you’ll understand that velocity is a vector. For the rest of you, forgot the scientific jargon and just comprehend that in order to completely define an object’s *velocity*, you need to describe its speed AND its direction.
Take that to the next level and consider that in order to define your own *velocity*, you need to evaluate not only how fast you’re going, but in what direction and to what end. Be sure that whatever you do in your life, you do it with *velocity*, with speed AND with a purpose (direction). Know that you can build yourself up or break yourself down with velocity, depending on your direction…
I’m sure at some point, you’ve seen a sports car go flying by and thought, wow, that car is FAST. Great, but where’s it going? Is it going to be wrapped around a tree 5 seconds from now, or go careening off a bridge in 10?
Or is it going to get the driver to work in time to make a critical presentation and get a promotion?
Thanks for reading,
Dom Menafra ~ your dedicated classmate.
